Wealth - What Does that look like for you?

What does being wealthy look for you?

I recently sat with this question again whilst listening to the book Infinite Receiving by Suzy Ashworth.

I have been what I thought was wealthy in my life, during my early childhood I thought, as a family we were quite wealthy. We ate out at expensive restaurants, we had a nice home, both my parents had well paying jobs and we drove a new car. That is what i thought was wealthy.

However, that image was shattered when I was 12. My father left abruptly and dramatically and I discovered that things weren’t as they seemed. We went from wealthy to just above the poverty line over night. My mother was devastated and I felt such a sense of betrayal and disillusionment.

I made a decision sometime during that difficult time that as soon as I could, I would take matters into my own hands. I got a job at McDonalds just before I turned 15. I loved that the more I worked the more money I got. Being a teenager I had energy to burn.

The power I felt by creating my own form of wealth inspired me to become an entrepreneur at an early age, all driven by the power of the dollar.

I went on to build my wealth with my ex husband and create an abundant lifestyle for our family of 5. We worked hard and enjoyed the rewards and I thought we had made it.

Until, another life learning came in 2010 and removed almost all of what we had created financially, including our beautiful home. Again, in a short space of time I was staring at that poverty line again.

It took me quite a while to recover from the loss, I’m not sure I have fully recovered however what I do know is that my idea of what wealth is looks very different now in my 60’s to what it did in my 30’s or even 40’s.

Wealth includes material assets and I continue to build on those, it also includes my health and wellness. Having the ability to eat healthy nourishing foods, having the time to cook and to nurture and honour my relationships with my loved ones. Of course I have goals, one of which is to own my own home again with my partner and to be of service in all areas of my life, including my business.

So, let me ask again, what does being wealthy look for you. I invite you to take some time to journal your answers.

As a coach and healer, I find often people don’t like where they are at currently but they are not clear on where they want to be.

The universe loves clarity, it is literally waiting for us to instruct it with our prayers, our goals, our visions so it can get to moving the energies to make that a reality.

We all deserve to live the life we truly desire, we just need to get clear on what that wealthy looks like for each of us.

Until next time, abundant blessings, Kym 💗💚
